Chanin Kelly-Rae Presentation
We say that we value diversity of thought, or that diversity is our strength; however that has not proven to be what is universally accepted in our communities. There is a divide between what we say, and what we do when it comes to the valuation of difference in the human population.
As a nationally recognized subject matter expert in diversity, inclusion and equity policy and strategies, Chanin will share how race, income, and human variation continue to determine outcomes in our shared communities, and why schools, non-profit organizations, and even businesses have very different experiences that lead to marginalization based on our diversity. Social determinants impact all people, but we simply don’t all experience them in the same way.
Chanin will also share why, in order to positively influence the social, emotional, physical, and financial health of the entire population, we must align our efforts as organizations to maximize resources and achieve better outcomes. Long-term success demands that we collaborate and engage in ways that are profoundly different, structurally revolutionary, and socially transformative.”
“If we work together to build our paths forward, success will ignite at the point where our roads converge.”
